The sharp-eyed might have noticed some changes on our vendor applications. Basically they came down to this:
First, many vendors wanted more flexibility in selecting the dates they would attend. So the forms have been adjusted to allow a vendor to select dates individually. We do ask for a minimum commitment of four dates, but they no longer need be in a row, or even in the same month.
Secondly, after talking with local produce providers and gardeners…gardeners and produce vendors may attend free of charge. For the sake of record-keeping and planning, we do still ask that you fill out an application. Many gardeners are not actually attempting to start a business, so having this available as a service to the community makes sense.
If you are a gardener or urban farmer, and you are unsure that you could merit a full market space, please contact the NACDC. We are considering the creation of a produce consignment table. So, if you only have a few extra zucchini or a couple of cartons of berries, this might be for you. However, that would be a decent amount of effort on our part, so we need to gauge the interest in such a table. So shoot us a message below.
We cannot guarantee tables and tents for all produce vendors, but we do have some available. (That’s not a change, but it bears repeating.)
Starting 6/16, we will be setting up next to the sidewalk on Main Street near the Hibernians’ club.
